Here at BAS, it’s more important for you to have the right skills, a positive attitude and a great personality than a CV with an extensive summary of your qualifications and education. Do we have a job that’s right for you? Don’t hesitate, call, e-mail or send us your application.
Our strength as an employer lies in our team spirit, dynamic work environment and our drive to continue to succeed and innovate. We have a lot to offer our employees and demand a lot from them in return. How well this works in practice for our 227 employees is clear from our low sickness absence rate (1.3%), an average employment duration of 5.4 years and high employee satisfaction.
Are you the new driver we’re looking for? If so, you will receive individual coaching from a driving-style specialist from NEXTdriver, to ensure you drive more safely and efficiently. The result: fewer fines, damage and delays and lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. You will receive a driving report via the NEXTdriver app every week and personal feedback on your driving behaviour every month. We reward efficient driving behaviour with prizes and bonuses.
BAS likes to give its employees the opportunity to grow or make a career switch, whether you are a warehouse employee or an applicant who doesn’t have a driving licence. We will arrange for you to do a professional course to become a driver with a B, C or CE driving licence. Provided by Blom Verkeersopleidingen, paid for by us and supported by one of our mentor drivers, who will guide you from driving vans (B) and12-ton and 19-ton box trucks (C) to articulated trucks (CE). Who knows, perhaps you’ll even train new drivers yourself in the future.
Here at BAS, we like everyone to continue to develop, because learning creates prospects and opportunities for the future. It’s also important to us that our employees are happy and motivated, which is why we put together a personal course plan for you and discuss with you the time frame in which you will aim to complete your course(s). The courses are accessible via our internal e-learning portal.
There are about 25 courses in total. For example: ‘ADR warehousing’, ‘temperature-controlled transport’ and ‘safe use of the EPT’. The courses on offer change every half a year, so you’ll never run out of courses to do.
Here at BAS, we keep each other on the ball. That’s how we improve ourselves and each other. So, we organise an internal job shadowing opportunity every year. It’s always a lot of fun. You spend a day or half a day in a different department, giving it the benefit of your fresh perspective. This often results in new ideas and also gives colleagues the opportunity to get to know each other and their work better and helps them to work together better too.
