Working at the Bas Group
Get the best out of yourself!
Are you interested in a career with Bas? If so, you will be someone who enjoys variety and working in a hectic environment. You will also like being given the opportunity to show initiative and be proactive. You will be strong, have a fresh outlook on your field and think out-of-the box and in terms of solutions. We are a sociable and critical employer. We take good care of you, in return for which we expect you to give your all and contribute to the achievement of customer satisfaction. We value your attitude and talents more than your job profile and experience in the industry. We give you the opportunity to excel. If you like getting the best out of yourself too, Bas is the right place for you.
“Varied, challenging and fun!”
“You will find that working at Bas involves all of the above. It’s varied because I’ll be organising, maintaining or replacing a cluster one minute and then helping someone with a printer setting the next. It’s challenging because you’re expected to continually come up with ideas to further improve the services we offer. It’s fun too because I get the chance to develop and actually put my ideas into practice too. You’ll never be bored here!”
Eddy van Opdorp | Systems Administrator | Bas Group
Want to work as a driver, but don’t have a driving licence?
We train prospective drivers who don’t have (the right) driving licence: from learner-driver to mentor-driver. You will learn how to load and unload shipments and gain goods-related knowledge too. You will also learn to drive a van, a small and large box truck and articulated truck and you will gain your driving licence. A mentor-driver will be there to help you throughout the process.

Optimise your driving style with Driver
As a Bas driver, you will be enrolled in our Driver+ programme automatically. By optimising your driving style, you will reduce the amount of fuel you use, reduce CO2 emissions, improve safety and deliver more of your shipments on times. Analysis of speed, coasting and braking behaviour and cruise-control use, amongst other things, will help you do this.

“Helping to embrace a great challenge”
“The rapid growth of our warehouse has presented us with a challenge and makes entrepreneurship an absolute must. That’s what makes my job great and so much fun to do. We are responsible for cross-docking and warehouse activities, such as entry, storage, release and transhipment and value added services. If at all possible, we like to go one step further than the contractual agreements made. The Bas Group is driven, looks to the future and is continuing to develop. I am pleased to be involved in this challenge.” Ron Cleijsen | Manager Operations Warehousing | Bas Group
Placement, graduation assignment or apprenticeship (BBL-plek)
Have you opted for a professional practice skills course (BBL leerweg)? If so, you are welcome to come along and gain some warehouse experience with us. Are you doing a degree in Logistics and Economy at a university of applied sciences? If so, why not register for one of our interesting placement or graduation projects? Graduate Aron Vermeulen recently joined Bas as a Junior Logistics Engineer. Like him, you can rely on Bas to offer you plenty of opportunities. Will you choose to take advantage of them?
Care and concern for employees
What do we do to keep our people happy? How do we organise their work better, smarter and with more flexibility? These are just two of the questions that led to the purchase of electric pallet jacks to help employees avoid back problems. Research is being done into whether a four-day working week would give drivers a better work-life balance too. Bas is also proud to say that it has a sickness absenteeism rate of just 1.52% (industry average: approximately 4%).
