We here at the BAS Group care about the world around us, which is why we have formulated our own CSR policy in which we outline our strategy, set goals, establish KPIs and create and evaluate reports. We organise CSR based on the following themes: Innovation & Collaboration, Quality & Safety, the Environment & CO2 and People & Society. Our CSR score for 2019 was 92%.
Multimodal transport solutions
The BAS Group offers a total package of logistics services. We like to think that we are innovative while also taking a load off your mind. From transport, storage, cross docking and fulfilment to complete warehouse management. From 24-hour distribution in the Benelux to (intermodal) groupage transports from and to Southern Europe. We pride ourselves on our multimodal transport solutions for fragile, dangerous, valuable and temperature-sensitive shipments. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), innovation and concern for the world around us are in our genes and are even more rewarding if we can continue to offer clients the very best price-quality ratio too. The advance of time and technology have seen us progress too: from on-board computers and advanced planning systems at the end of the 1990s to Smart Modal Solutions and our own Driver+ programme. We firmly believe that it is possible to offer clients a high level of service and help to make the world a better place without compromising on the price-quality ratio.
Innovation and investment
CSR involves more than taking steps to reduce emissions; we need to innovate and invest too: in people, solutions, safety, society and technology. Complacency isn’t an option: it’s important to continually look for ways to improve. The only constant is change, which is why our CSR policy plan ties in seamlessly with our business strategy. The BAS Group wants to be a modern, innovative and socially-minded company. This requires commitment, drive and ongoing efforts to establish the very best solutions for our clients. CSR forms an integral part of our strategy. Our aim is to be one of the Netherlands’ best CSR logistics service providers in 2020. The BAS CSR steering group helps to keep this aim front of mind. It consists of two board members, the HR Supervisor, a Logistics Engineer and our Quality & Security Coordinator.

We set goals for and report on the progress being made with each of our themes. Our KPIs for CSR can be found in the Bas Data Portal. CSR involves collaboration, knowledge sharing and efforts to inspire others. We call upon our colleagues, partners, clients and social partners to share their thoughts and ideas, contribute and take action themselves too. If nothing else, we promise to share the experience we have gained with the world around us.
CSR score for 2019
The CSR score for 2019 is calculated on the basis of our four chosen themes. Various indicators were assessed and resulted in a score of 92%. This is a wonderful achievement, of which we should be very proud! Looking ahead to 2020, we have set ourselves a number of new challenging goals and will continue to improve and innovate in relation to our CSR goals in 2020.
